Contour ProtégéAI is a software tool that assists trained medical professionals by automatically creating contours on CT and MR medical images using machine-learning algorithms. It helps in quantitative analysis, adaptive therapy, image segmentation of various anatomical regions including prostate via MR images, and supports radiation therapy treatment planning. The contours can be reviewed and edited with appropriate visualization software.
Contour ProtégéAI is an accessory to MIM software. It includes processing components to allow the contouring of anatomical structures using machine-learning-based algorithms automatically. Appropriate image visualization software must be used to review and, if necessary, edit results automatically generated by Contour ProtégéAI. Contour ProtégéAI is not intended to detect or contour lesions.
Contour ProtégéAI automatically creates contours on medical images through machine-learning algorithms. It runs on Windows, Mac, and Linux as a server-based or local application and supports deployment via MIMcloud or local servers/workstations.
Neural network models for CT and MR were trained on external datasets and tested to calculate Dice coefficients for anatomical structure segmentation. The performance was equivalent or better than the MIM Maestro atlas segmentation reference device, showing statistical equivalence or superiority in contour accuracy.
