ContaCT is a software-only system consisting of image forwarding software for transmitting DICOM images, image processing and analysis software hosted on a server that performs vessel segmentation and LVO detection, and a non-diagnostic mobile viewing application for previewing compressed images used for notification purposes.
In a retrospective study of 300 CT angiogram cases, ContaCT demonstrated 87.8% sensitivity and 89.6% specificity for detecting LVO compared to neuro-radiologist established ground truth. The device significantly reduced notification time to specialists by an average of 51 minutes compared to standard care, potentially enabling earlier intervention.
